Consultancy Services for Scanning the National ICT Policy 2016, Legal and Regulatory Environment in Tanzania

The main objective of the assignment was to scan and conduct a gap/challenges assessment of the policy, legal and regulatory environment of the ICT sector and make useful recommendations to enhance the creation of a digital economy. The assignment was led by our Executive Director i.e., Dr. Dennis Mwighusa.

Several methodologies were deployed, ranging from review of relevant documents, consultative discussions and interviews using open and closed-ended questionnaires, focus group discussions with Government Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), private sector, civil society and learning from the experiences of several countries, including Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nepal, Peru, Tunisia, Gambia and Ghana.
